Welcome to Davis Handmade Marbles
Jim Davis began work in glass over 50 years ago at the Mid Atlantic company in Ellenboro, WV. In the 60's he opened his own gift shop in Pennsboro that featured handcut crystal glassware and many other handmade glass items that Jim made during his lunch breaks at the factory. In 1990, Jim started making marbles. He got so busy so fast that in 1992 he retired from the Mid Atlantic and built his own studio in Pennsboro spending most of his time there when not traveling to marble shows. Jim became ill in 2000 and is unable to make marbles now but his name is being carried on by his six sons. All the boys are making the marbles as Jim Davis so eagerly taught them. With a special thanks to Margaret (Jims wife) for all her help in getting started, the boys plan to carry on the marble making for many years.

Andy Davis, Jim's brother, traveled with Jim to many marble shows across the country. Andy was instrumental in helping the business continue when Jim became sick in 2000. Andy's marbles can be seen in galleries across the country and is well noted for his Presidential Sets. One which is currently on display at the Smithsonian. Andy also has a line of tops and top sets. Andy produces his marbles and sets at his studio in Ohio.
